Our Mission and Vision

The Virginia Counselors Association Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit endowment created to strengthen and sustain the counseling profession in Virginia.

We invest in counselors, counseling students and programs through grants, scholarships and special initiatives designed to advance professional growth, innovation and access.

The foundation exists because strong communities depend on strong counselors. By providing resources that support education, research, professional development and advocacy, the foundation ensures that counselors have the tools they need to serve clients effectively in schools, agencies and community settings across the commonwealth.

Our vision is a future where every counselor in Virginia can thrive, equipped with the skills, support and opportunities to reach their full potential. Through careful stewardship of our endowment and a commitment to transparency, we are building a lasting legacy of empowerment for the counseling profession and the people it serves.
