
Lorraine Hall has served as the assistant dean of the Luter School of Business at Christopher Newport University.
Beginning in October 2000, she worked in a number of administrative capacities at Christopher Newport, including director of curriculum management and course evaluations, assistant to the provost, and assistant to the dean of liberal arts and sciences.
Prior to her responsibilities at Christopher Newport, Lorraine coordinated the Project FOCUS career partnership at Thomas Nelson Community College, now Virginia Peninsula Community College, where she served as a career counselor in both the community college and the Hampton City Schools.
Hall has also worked at a group home for children awaiting foster care and taught student development courses at Christopher Newport University, Virginia Peninsula Community College and Tidewater Community College.
Prior to moving to Virginia, she was a career counselor at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.V.
She has held various leadership positions in the Virginia College Personnel Association, the Virginia School Counselor Association, the Virginia Counselors Association, the Peninsula Counselors Association and the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.
She is an emeritus director of the Virginia Peninsula SPCA and serves on the board of directors for the Virginia Living Museum. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and a master of arts degree in counseling and student personnel from Marshall University in Huntington, W.V.
