
Mikhal Salzberg has most recently served a professional school counselor at Western Albemarle High School in Crozet, Va.
She received her B.A. from The College of William and Mary and her M.Ed. from The University of Virginia.
Salzberg holds ASCA specialist training certificates in cultural competency, college admissions and closing the achievement gap.
She began her career working with high school students at a technical and vocational high school and has a deep passion for assisting students with post-high school transition plans.
Salzberg previously served as the Virginia Alliance for School Counseling treasurer in 2013 and then secretary in 2014. In 2015 she was elected to the executive board of the Virginia Counselors Association, serving a two-year term in the role of secretary.
She has presented at the annual VCA convention several times and, over the years, has twice been a recipient of grant funding through the VCAF.
