Rick Gressard is a William & Mary Chancellor Professor Emeritus and for 41 years served on the faculty of the counselor education programs at the University of Virginia, James Madison University, and The College of William & Mary.
He served two terms on the Virginia Board of Counseling and is perhaps best known for his national leadership roles as the chair of the National Board for Certified Counselors Board of Directors, as a member of the 2009 Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs Standards Revision Committee, as board vice chair of CACREP and for one year as interim president/CEO of CACREP.
